Madhuvanti Anantharajan
Madhuvanti Anantharajan is a postdoctoral researcher in teacher-learning and early mathematics education at the Stanford Graduate School of Education. She completed her PhD in 2020 from Stanford University. Her primary research interests include teacher-learning and teaching based on student thinking, with a focus on mathematics. Her dissertation research developed and examined a novel construct related to teacher-learning, which she calls teacher-curiosity about children’s thinking. One of her research studies has been published in the Journal for Research in Mathematics Education. She has presented her work in various conferences and published in the Proceedings of the North American Chapter of the International Group for the Psychology of Mathematics Education. For DREME, she works on the COHERE project, leading an analysis of teachers’ and school leaders’ perceptions of high-quality math teaching in the early grades. She also mentors undergraduate research assistants and supervises various aspects of data management and logistics in the project.
