Colleen Oppenzato
Colleen Oppenzato is a doctoral student in cognitive science in education at Teachers College, Columbia University, and an adjunct lecturer at the City College of New York. As a member of Dr. Herbert Ginsburg’s team, Colleen participates in the Early Math Resources for Teacher Educators and the Parent and Early Caregiver Engagement in Math projects. Her research interests include teachers’ attitudes about formative assessment, math anxiety in parents and teachers, and using technology to represent music graphically. Colleen began her career in the classroom, teaching middle school special education and fifth grade. She has also worked as a math curriculum developer, item writer, and project manager in educational publishing.
