Luke Rainey

Luke works on two DREME projects: Making More of Math and Preschool Through Elementary School Coherence. For COHERE, Luke is part of the team designing, implementing, and analyzing data for the project’s preschool-through-second grade classroom observation instrument. He also works as a research analyst on a longitudinal study at the Peabody Research Institute at Vanderbilt University, following students’ math learning trajectories from preschool through middle school. He is interested in how policies, teacher practices, curriculum, and environment relate to equitable learning opportunities. Luke earned his master’s in education in learning and instruction from Vanderbilt, and his bachelor’s in political science from Eckerd College.
